A Stitched Anthology is a collection of 10 fully hand-embroidered magnolia leaves — pressed, dried, and carefully preserved. Each piece in this collection blends the familiar with the new: designs drawn from past works sit alongside fresh interpretations, unified by a consistent color palette and a shared stylistic language. Though they speak to a common aesthetic, every leaf retains its own character — the subtle imperfections of natural form, the unique stitchwork of the hand that honored it.
This piece came to me while out on a hike, and the next day I put pencil to paper, then smart pencil to iPad , carefully and thoughtfully sketched out each leaf, and got to work. Each leaf evolved throughout the process and placement from original sketch shifted to find the right balance.
Each leaf is individually fully hand-embroidered, then stitched together as a whole. A Stitched Anthology comes framed at a finished size of (11.25” x 14”).
